New for 2025 we will be offering 2 E-Bike categories: Individual or Team. You can build your team with 2, 3 or 4 participants. Given the growth and popularity of E-Bikes, we want those with E-Bikes to have the opportunity to enjoy the Festival. Prizes will not be awarded for most laps completed, prizes will be awarded by draw only. We will offer 2 draw prizes for the Individual E-Bike category and 3 draw prizes for the Team E-Bike category.
Only Class 1 E-Bikes will be permitted (E-Bikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 32km/hr). All E-Bikes MUST PASS a Mandatory Inspection before the start of the Festival. The Mandatory Inspection will be completed by a bicycle technician between 9:15am-10:15am on Sunday, June 8th. The inspection will take place under the Fresh Air Experience tent on the north side of the Cosmo Lodge. If an E-Bike fails the Mandatory Inspection, that participant and team will automatically be disqualified from the Festival and not permitted to participate. A refund WILL NOT be given to the participant or team.
E-Bikes are being offered on a trial basis for 2025. We ask that those participating in the E-Bike categories to ride within their capabilities. When passing other participants, please pass with care and caution.
See how many laps you can complete in 6 hours! Push yourself and your team to complete as many laps as you can. Prizes will be awarded to the teams and individuals on analogue bikes that complete the most laps. (E-Bikes not included)
Money raised from the Pine Needle Mountain Bike & Music Festival will be donated to Little Red River Park
The 2025 Festival Loop is a 7km loop (same loop as the 2024 Festival) that has challenging climbs, wide open double track, fun flowy single track and exhilarating descents. Enjoy scenic views of the Little Red River, open plains and forest. Map is below
The Festival has riders of all ages and abilities. If you are a fast rider, please notify slower riders by calling out "passing on your left" or "passing on your right" . Please be courteous to each other and please have patience through the single track sections as it is sometimes harder to pass slower riders in the single track.
Each team must have 1 rider on the course at all times. Only 1 rider from your team is permitted to be on course at a time.
Riders must use caution entering the Exchange Area and obey all signs. Team mates must tag hands in the exchange area when there is a change in who will be on course.
We will be closing the course with 15 minutes left on the clock. No riders will be permitted to start a new lap after the clock shows 15 minutes or less.
